Kurt Belcher is President and Owner of STAjets, one of the nation’s leading private air charter companies. A graduate of the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a degree in Aviation Business Administration, Kurt quickly earned his flying Credentials and ATP certification. A rising star in the industry, by the age of 27 Kurt already owned and successfully operated an FBO (fixed based operator) jet center. Concurrently Kurt gained experience across multiple aeronautical verticals by performing duties both as a commercial pilot and as a flight instructor. As President and CEO of STAjets, Kurt’s focus is leading the company to the forefront of the Aviation Industry with a distinct focus on safety and service.
Since taking ownership of STAjets in 2009, Kurt has expanded national operation with offices in Orange County, Van Nuys, Palm Springs and Miami.
Kurt’s passion for reaching new heights extends to his philanthropic and public policy advocacy. He is a member of Gen Next, an issue based organization of accomplished professionals aimed at addressing generational challenges. He also serves on the board of Pretend City Children’s Museum, The Beckstrand Cancer Foundation, Miracles for Kids and The Orangewood Children’s Foundation.
Megan brings over 15 years of aviation experience to STAjets. Beginning her career with Raytheon in Wichita Kansas, Ms Cunningham has a long history of Aircraft Management experience including Charter Sales, International Dispatch, Marketing and Accounting. Megan was formerly the Vice President of Charter Services for Jet Source as well as Flight Analyst for Motorola Mobility. With a passion for team leadership and a distinct focus on customer retention Megan is tasked with providing daily oversight of the business, overseeing all Managed Aircraft Accounts and leading growth initiatives at STAjets. Megan also actively serves on the Southern California Aviation Association Committee.
Erik brings to STAjets a balance of aviation and business related background. Becoming a licensed pilot back in the late 80’s, Erik’s pursuit of the dream aviation job led him down the path of an entrepreneurial venture. Having owned and operated multiple restaurants, a microbrewery and a beverage bottling company, his passion for aviation could not be ignored. Erik has acquired multiple type ratings while building relationships with the FAA along with valuable knowledge and skills. With 12 years experience in Aircraft Charter and Management Erik joins STAjets as Director of Operations. His active role is maintaining our relationship with the FAA and to ensure STAjets exceeds all government requirements.
Originally from Seattle Washington, Isaac began flying at the age of 15. Isaac holds a BA from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. With extensive international flying experience, multi and single engine ATP and over 6,000 hours Isaac’s aviation experience includes both assistant Chief Pilot and Chief Instructor positions. In addition being a lead Captain on the Nextant 400XT, Isaac is responsible administering STAjets Safety Program as well as training all new Flight Crews. When he isn’t flying or training, Isaac enjoys playing guitar and running marathons.
As Director of Business Development Zach focuses on expanding our client base and ensuring each customer has an outstanding experience. Zach’s passion for aviation started as a child and continued into high school when he took his first flying lesson. After graduating from the University of Redlands in 2004 Zach began a career in sales management.
Zach entered the Aircraft Charter industry over 6 years ago and has managed sales departments of all sizes. As a commercially rated pilot with thousands of hours, Zach brings an operational understanding to sales departments ensuring a seamless process for customers. In his spare time, Zach enjoys sailing, traveling and spending time with his wife and son.
As Director of Maintenance, Zack is responsible for the day-to-day operations of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance repairs for STAjets fleet of aircraft . As a certified Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic and a Pilot with over 3,000 hours Zack has revolved his entire career around his love of aviation.
